Femoral Hemostasis

Discs

While manual compression remains the “gold standard” in achieving femoral hemostasis, holding pressure for long periods can cause carpel tunnel and other repetitive stress injuries to the clinician. We have a wide array of hand-held compression devices designed to minimize the stress and strain that practitioners may experience during manual compression.

1 References A 2009 study conducted at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri compared ComfortPress with manual compression on 89 angiography-only patients. The authors found a statistically significant (p=0.00) lower rate of hematoma formation in the patients on whom ComfortPress was deployed.
